Artistfacts:
From Tallahassee, Florida. They played a lot of gigs around Florida State University when they were starting out.
The first band to have 4 #1 singles from their first album. My Own Prison contained the hits "My Own Prison," "What's This Life For?," "Torn," and "One."
Their first album cost about $6,000 to record. It sold over 4 million copies.
Stapp and Tremonti started the band.
They played at Woodstock '99. Robbie Krieger, the guitarist for The Doors, joined them on stage.
Stapp has had problems with his vocal chords. They have had to cancel shows or ask the audience to sing along to help him when he strains them.
Stapp has a temper. In April, 2001, he punched a man at a bar after he told Stapp he "Should have stuck with Pearl Jam."
One of their first names was "Naked Toddler."
Stapp comes from a very religious household where he was not allowed to listen to Rock music. His lyrics often reflect his Christian beliefs, but he says they are not a Christian band.
Creed got back together with all the original members in 2009 and released a new album on October 27, 2009. (thanks, Yasin - Marietta, GA)

I miss them... I loved 'one' It was really good. Creed was really awwsome when they were together and jearl jam... they suck. Plain and simple. Pearl Jam fans just wish p.j coulve compared. -sic

Creed is such a great band! I think it's sad that they broke up. I really liked a lot of their songs. I bought their greatest hits CD, and it's really good. My favorite band would have to be Lifehouse, but Creed still rocks hardcore.
- Hope, Florence, MT
I wonder how the other members of "Stapp's religious household" are feeling about Stapp and kid rock's sex tape release?? Hmmmmmmmm. And- where was his strong Christian background when he got trashed and ARRESTED at his own wedding???
- Robyn, Tucson, AZ

- adam parker, norwich, England
I really miss their work. socially aware without being politically correct. I hope to see more great southern bands come out soon.
- robert, pensacola, FL
CREED rocks!! is one of the best bands ever, it has the best drumer, guitar and voice ever, all that people that say that creed is life peal jam are wrong, creed is UNIQUE... its a pity that they broke up but i know that alterbridge will succed and so will scott..
- aric, santander, Spain
Creeds lead singer, Scott stapp, left the band and was replaced by someone else. They are no longer called Creed, they are now Alterd bridge.
- Mike, Spokane, WA
Creed are releasing their greatest hits later this year (in September of something) I think, it might be later though cos otherwise it'll clash with the alter bridge first album. Anyway, it's meant to be coming out later this year.
- Matthew, Nr London, England
i'm a big CREED fan and all that i can say is that my world crushed when i first heard that they're breaking up.Now i can just hope that Alter Bridge and Stapp solo will try to get somewhere close to Creed but i also know that there newer be a greater band!!!
- Goran, skopje, Europe
Although they have some good tunes Creed is way too prentious as a band and Im glad they broke up.
- lorne, Toronto, Canada
How about the two guys that went to a creed concert and subsequently sued them for the price of their tickets and emotional damage for "sucking" (hee hee) not sure if they won or lost though
- scott, Bismarck, ND
Creed is for people who can't spell Pearl Jam
- Tom, St. Louis, MO
I saw them last night in concert...WOW! They are truly gifted!!
- Shannon, Benton, AR
creed rocks my world

creed rules
- benji, brazoria, TX
Creed is very one dimensional. And from what I have heard they are not that great live. But I still like their music.
- Hans, Oakdale, CA
I've seen them 3 times and they put on the best show I've ever seen. It's full of emotion and it gives you goosebumps. If you only like their singles, you might not like the concerts as much as I did, but I live by the lyrics of Creed. It's more than music.
