Artistfacts:
They formed in Seattle when Hurst answered an ad in a paper from a band looking for a lead singer. The moved to Vancouver shortly after they formed.
Their first album, The Devil You Know, won album of the year at the Juno Awards, Canadas equivalent of The Grammys.
They benefit from Canadian content regulations, which require Canadian radio stations to play a lot of music from Canadian bands.
Their name comes from the French novel Jeu de Fountaine by Euxebe Auxtry. In the book, Econoline Crush is a kind of drug.
They opened some shows for KISS in 1998.
