... Paint It Blue Is Adam Levine just torturing his fans by going shirtless in his new video, but doing it in a sort of weird way where it's not entirely sexy? Yes! Yes, he probably is. In the video for
Maroon 5's new single "Love Somebody" (which might be my favorite single from Overexposed -- it's actually played pretty straight, rather than some overproduced funk-pop monstrosity), Levine uses inverse blue-screen technology (or whatever) with his body (and the body of a sexy model, since it's Adam Levine) covered in a viscous blue paint-like substance, so only parts of it show up. It's pretty weird, and kinda cool, and also sort of gross. Watch up top.

... that that was the performance of the night," Usher says, countering Adam's earlier assertion that Sarah Simmons held that honor. "You are the theatrics. You are the vocals. You are everything. There's nothing on the stage but you," he says, beaming. Before the results are in on Tuesday night's show, both Shakira and Usher will perform with their teams. Here's hoping that Shakira's hip shaking carries over to her contestants, and that an epic Usher/Michelle Chamuel dance-off erupts on stage. ‘The Voice’: Adam Levine And

Maroon 5 began in 1994 while members Adam Levine, Jesse Carmichael, and Mickey Madden were still in high school. The band's original name was Kara's Flowers and they played garage/grunge music. Their first gig was at Whisky a Go Go in West Hollywood in September 1995. They scored a deal as Kara's Flowers with Reprise Records but was dropped after only 6 months. The band's album The Fourth World came out in 1997 but was a massive failure, only selling 5,000 copies. The poor sales numbers were discouraging and nearly caused the band to breakup in 1998.
Maroon 5's debut album Songs About Jane became a sleeper hit in 2002. Five songs from the record were released as singles which helped it become the seventh best-selling album of 2002, with sales of 2.7 million copies.
Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine has Jewish ancestry on both sides of his family. In an interview with London newspaper The Jewish Chronicle, Levine explained that while he considers himself a Jew, he does not practice traditional Judaism but favors a "more generalized spiritual way of life."
In 1997, Maroon 5 (then known as Kara's Flowers) appeared on an episode of the TV show Beverly Hills 90210. Kara's Flowers released a single called "Soap Disco" the same year but it failed to gain any commercial success.
After moving to New York, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine got a job working at the fast food chain Johnny Rockets. He quit after only two weeks and also dropped out of college to continue pursuing music.
Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine is known for collaborating with other pop artists. He has worked with Yin Yang Twins, Kanye West, Alicia Keys, and Gym Class Heroes, among others.
In 2008, Maroon 5 singer Adam Levine teamed up with guitar company First Act to create the First Act 222 model. The axe was designed with Levine's specifications in mind and was made available for purchase at Target stores.
